My Christmas suddenly looked brighter, what a surprise
I’d discovered some edible, wonderful mince pies!
All the others I’d tried had pastry like rock

My Christmas suddenly looked brighter, what a surprise
I’d discovered some edible, wonderful mince pies!
All the others I’d tried had pastry like rock
To try and bite them was one heck of a shock.

But then by chance – they were right at the back
I saw mince pies, organic, gluten free, four in a pack
They certainly looked nicer, more like home made
But would they be worth the money I had paid?

They were! They were! They were fantastically tasty
Sweet and crumbly with pastry as it should be
So thank you for enabling me to sit and join in
With everyone else (and still have some in the tin!)

I miss them, however, do you do any more?
Any more flavours hidden in some local store?
I have visions of that pastry filled with fruit
Actually – anything would suit!
