Now, you may be thinking that the title of this article is just outlandish. You might be thinking that it’s preposterous and it’s not going to happen. Well, you might want to think twice. You have to understand that when it comes to losing weight, you really have to focus on two things. Either you move around more or you just eat less calories.
If you’re able to achieve any of these, then you are well on your way to losing weight. I know that sounds simplistic, but really, that’s all there is to it. Regardless of the multi billon dollar advertising campaigns that you are subjected to involving the global weight loss industry, losing weight is actually quite a simple proposition.
Why is it so simple? Well, first of all, when you eat less calories, you would not be taking in enough calories for your body to maintain its weight. Accordingly, if you are moving around as much as before but eating less calories, your body is going to look for these sources of those “missing calories.” It’s going to look at your muscle mass or your stored fat. The more fat it burns or muscles it eats up, the less you weigh. Pretty straightforward.
The same applies to increasing your metabolism or moving around more. By simply choosing to be more physically active, your body is going to be burning up more calories than it takes in in any given day. Again, your body will be left in a situation where it’s going to have to burn up muscle tissue, or fat stores to make up for the missing calories. Regardless of what it does, you end up losing weight.
I hope it’s very clear to you that losing weight at least as a purely mechanical or biochemical process is not all that complicated. There’s really not much to it. Now, the problem here is that there are of course many things in life that are easier said than done. Losing weight is definitely one of them. The good news is that by simply changing your eating habits, you can go a long way in reducing your net calorie intake so that these weight loss processes can take place.
Of course, the ideal situation would be to burn the candle from both ends. I am of course talking about eating less and working out more, but we don’t live in an ideal world. Most people were not gifted with a tremendous amount of willpower. We only have so much self-control and self-discipline to spare. With that reality in mind, the second best thing that you can do is to simply modify your lifestyle. That’s right, by simply working with how you’re currently eating and making some small adjustments, you can be well on your way to sustainable weight loss.
It’s not going to be anything dramatic. It’s not going to be something so substantial that you can’t help but write home about. No, it’s not going to play out like that. Instead, it would require consistency on your part. As long as you’re consistent, that pesky spare tire that you’re lugging around in your mid-section will disappear. It’s only a matter of time.
In this particular context, weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. It’s a long term activity. Don’t expect any overnight miracles. If you’re okay with this, then simply baking special cookies recipes and eating cookies can help you lose weight. I know that sounds crazy. I know that sounds definitely unconventional, but hear me out. It all boils down to the right cookies recipes.
By eating cookies that have less sugar and higher fiber content, you can actually eat and bake cookies recipes that will make you feel fuller for a longer period of time while at the same time, help you lose weight. This may seem like the best of both worlds, but there is quite a bit of a price that you’re going to pay. This type of cookie is probably not your preferred cookie. This is probably not going to be your first choice, as far as cookies go. Still, if you develop a taste for this type of cookie, you can actually reduce your normal calorie load by quite a bit, especially if you’re a fairly heavy cookie eater.
The great thing about high fiber foods is that they fill you up fairly quickly. When you eat a cookie that has a very high dietary fiber content, this fiber would mix with the fluids in your digestive tract, which then enables you to feel fuller for a longer period of time. The fuller you feel, the less likely you are to eat during those times.
Overall, if you keep this up, you reduce your overall calorie intake, and this can pave the way for eventual weight loss. Now, it’s really important to make sure that your metabolism remains the same as before. In other words, if you start eating low sugar, high fiber cookies and pair that up with simply just sitting up all day, then you’re probably not going to achieve much progress. Why? You may have been able to successfully lower your calorie intake, but this has been more than offset by the fact that you’re not moving around as much. I hope you see the equation here, and I wish you the best of luck.
