Zucchini is a wonderful summer food that can be prepared in a variety of ways. This is an easy recipe that shows you how to make crispy, Italian seasoned zucchini strips. For this recipe you will need:
- 2 medium sized zucchinis
- Italian seasoning
- Parmesan cheese
- Olive oil (Here’s some olive oil dispensers you may like)
- Garlic powder (Here are some great garlic presses for you!)
- Aluminum foil (optional)
- Baking sheet
Before you began preparing the zucchini, you will want to preheat your oven to 400. Next you will want to wash both the zucchini to remove any dirt or possible chemicals.
After the zucchinis have been washed, cut both of them in half. Then cut each half into slices lengthwise. At this point you should have 16 slices. Now you want to pat dry with a paper towel before placing the slices on the baking sheet.
An optional step is to cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil. This isn’t necessary and does not change anything with the recipe. It is used just to help with cleanup.
After the slices have been dried, place each slice on the baking sheet. Cover each slice with olive oil. Then liberally sprinkle Parmesan cheese on each slice. Next apply the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. This amount is up to you depending on how much you like each seasoning.
Now the zucchini is ready to go in the preheated oven. You will want to cook the zucchini until crispy. This usually takes around in hour. However, you may leave in the oven until the desired results are reached. These go great with pasta and red sauce.
